Our products range from the softest of wools, mohair, silk, possum and more, in yarn thicknesses from very fine for weaving or lace knitting, through to chunky yarns for craft work and bulky knitting. We have many specialty yarns in hand-dyed colours and fancy twists including the lovely “Mushroom” roving named so because it is soft, plump and it grows fast!
Rainbow Wools is owned and opperated by Carol Olde, who with 20 years experience in many areas of the textile industry, can find just the yarn and colour for the job! Carol's choice of products is dictated by handle and suitability of yarn for the end product, and are influenced by her earlier involvement in yarn production and the establishment of her own woollen spinning mill. Now, under strict quality control, yarns are sourced from only top quality processors.
