Located in an old church in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Gordon Park, Redback Art Gallery specialises in the exhibition, sale and valuation of art work from leading Australian Aboriginal artists and selected contemporary artists. Since opening its doors in 1989, Redback has developed links with many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and has held some remarkable exhibitions including solo exhibitions from Aboriginal artists such as: the very well known Emily Kngwarreye; Maningridaís John Mawurndjul; Papunya artist Joseph Jurra Tjapaltjarri and the famous Queenie McKenzie from Turkey.
