Wyntaissa Alpacas was established in 1999, when we (Sue and Ted Collins) moved from Georges Hall in Sydney to a quiet country life at Tarago, 35km south of Goulburn, and thought “What will we breed?”. Sheep, Goats or Alpacas, yes, Alpacas, then asked for information on these lovely creatures and received an information package from the Australian Alpaca Association.
Wyntaissa Aussie DreamWe started with a small number, then bought a package of girls from Victoria and started attending shows and winning. Our herd number increased with various local purchases.
It has been a learning curve throughout, from being a hobbyist to a fully fledged alpaca breeder and fleece producer. Our aim is to breed superfine, dense alpacas in the Southern NSW region.
